My Approach

My approach to therapy is collaborative and nurturing, focusing on creating a strong, empathetic connection with you, your child, or family. I take an eclectic approach, integrating techniques from various therapeutic interventions, ensuring that our work together is tailored specifically to you. I emphasize the importance of our therapeutic relationship, understanding that the patterns and dynamics we explore together can lead to profound insights.

I was driven to become a social worker and therapist by a deep passion to support others in meaningful ways. My work is rooted in creativity and being fully present for people’s stories, helping them navigate their unique paths with care. With a rich background in community mental health, trauma-focused therapy, and family therapy settings, my work is deeply informed by the diverse experiences and strengths of my clients.

When I'm not in the therapy office, you may find me hanging out with my lazy dog, buying more books than I have time to read, or going on jogs through my neighborhood. I love finding balance between my work and these small joys, which helps me stay grounded and energized to support my clients.

Areas Of Expertise

Anxiety & Depression

Often we are told that anxiety and depression are things we need to just “get over.” This messaging can create a sense of shame, isolation, and loss of confidence. Using a combination of talk therapy, grounding techniques, and identifying the relationship between one’s thoughts, feelings, and actions, I partner with clients to develop strategies to process and address anxiety and depression and effectively re-engage in their lives.

Adult & Pediatric OCD

Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) can impact children and adults alike. With intensive training in Exposure and Response Prevention, I work with individuals to identify and treat OCD, helping them develop tools to experience lasting relief from symptoms and build self-confidence in their ability to manage and address obsessions and compulsions.

Trauma-Focused Care

I recognize that our past lived experiences and relationships to different systems impact our current functioning and well-being. As a trauma-informed therapist with extensive training and experience supporting survivors of trauma in many different settings, I center a sense of safety, respect, and support with individuals in sessions and throughout the healing process.
